SOURCES OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS STATISTICS
The principal source of comparative telecommunications statistics is the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) which, as well as publishing detailed statistical yearbooks, offers a useful selection of statistics for free.
The OECD’s Committee for Information, Computer and Communications Policy publishes basic telecommunications and broadband data for OECD countries, which are updated regularly. It also publishes a biennial review of broadcasting and telecommunications, the Communications Outlook, which includes many statistical tables. The Communications Outlook can be browsed for free online.
